Now, it looks like Marvel and Sony are finally settling on their next plan for the beloved web-slinger in the MCU as The Cosmic Circus has reported that they heard that Holland’s fourth Spider-Man film in the MCU is set to release on July 12, 2024. If they end up going with that date, it will just be two weeks before the scheduled release of Thunderbolts, which is currently set for release on July 26 of that year. This could cause yet again another shuffle in their schedule since they might want to avoid having two MCU films getting released right around the same time.
We do have to take note that this news has not been confirmed by either Marvel or Sony so we have to take it with a huge grain of salt. However, the outlet has reported some accurate scoops in the past so we still have to consider that there is a likelihood that this is true. It is hard to tell right now if the July 2024 date for the film will end up being true since we also haven’t heard any reports that either Holland or director Jon Watts have officially signed on for the fourth film. There is also the fact that Marvel recently shuffled their release calendar and none of them is pointing toward a fourth Spider-Man film on that date. However, with the success of the “Homecoming” trilogy, it is inevitable for Holland to have his fourth solo film as the iconic hero and it’s just a matter of when they are going to actually make it. For now, let’s just wait for any confirmation from Marvel and Sony themselves.
