Inverse recently unearthed an alleged casting leak from 4chan claiming that You actor Penn Badgley and Supergirl star Melissa Benoist are the frontrunners to play Reed Richards and Sue Storm in the billion-dollar franchise. Another actress rumored to be on Marvel’s radar to play Invisible Woman is Strange Things actress Natalie Dyer. The leak clarifies that no offer has been sent out to the rumored actors but the cast will be revealed at this year’s D23 Expo. Meanwhile, after the leak made its rounds on social media, Benoist now appears to be a favorite amongst fans as well which isn’t all that surprising considering she’s no stranger to the superhero genre. Sure, the origin story formula might have been overdone but I honestly don’t mind seeing another one. Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four reboot is currently under development.
