It turns out that the 71-year-old actor had no idea that he was auditioning for the film’s lead part and he was always under the impression that he was playing second fiddle to the Indiana Jones star.Hamill explained that he thought Han Solo would be the franchise’s main character. He shared: “He WAS Han Solo. He’s better in the screen test than I am and he’s off camera so that should give you some idea.“He even jokingly said that he was convinced he was playing Bucky to Harrison’s Captain America before getting the official word that he’s in fact playing the lead part.
