Timothée Chalamet shared a new image on his official Instagram account. The picture shows the Call Me By Your Name actor with his father out in the desert and his caption confirms that filming has wrapped for Dune: Part Two. Check it out below.
It’s an interesting update considering that the sequel only started production back in July. On the other hand, there is a possibility that the principal photography of the main cast has already been completed but there is still a lot of production to work on for Part Two. Either way, this is exciting news and we’re hoping to see the first images from the movie soon. Dune: Part Two is one of the highly anticipated sequels that will hit theaters next year. The second film was announced soon after the successful premiere of Part One in 2021 and Denis Villeneuve made it clear that he was already prepared to start working on the sequel as soon as possible. With that in mind, everything appears to be on schedule and hopefully, Dune 2 will not have to go through the same delays as its predecessor. The second Dune film will still be directed by Denis Villeneuve and will bring back Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zendaya, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem. They will be joined by Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, Léa Seydoux as Lady Margot, and Christopher Walken Shaddam IV, the Emperor of House Corrino. Dune: Part Two is currently scheduled for release on November 3, 2023.
