Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff is the main spotlight in Multiverse of Madness, as she became a villain for the first time since joining the Avengers back in 2015 in Age of Ultron. In a film that was promoted as a super-powered horror film, Wanda as the Scarlet Witch provided a lot of scares.
Whether it was brutally murdering the Illuminati and the people in Kamar-Taj, or even snapping her bones back into place after crawling out of a reflection, it is clear that Marvel delivered what they promised. But some storyboards recently resurfaced revealing that the film could have been even more brutal than it was.
According to an Instagram post from the storyboard artist of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Jimmy Simser, one of the deleted scenes was a brutal scene in which Wanda showed the decapitated head of Doctor Strange villain Mordo.

It has been reported before that the Multiverse of Madness is originally going to open with Scarlet Witch executing Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Karl Mordo from Earth-616, and this deleted brutal scene would have shown Wanda summoning Mordo’s head atop Mount Wundagore.

In the film, the most brutal scenes in Sam Raimi’s MCU debut are implied. When Wanda sliced Captain Carter in half, her body is out of focus, and all that was shown in the film is her bloodied shield. The deleted scene with Earth-616 Mordo feels a little blatant compared to the other scenes. Marvel Studios might not want the head of an iconic Marvel character to be shown in their summer blockbuster. Another reason is that Marvel might have future plans for the Earth-616 Mordo.
