What Are The Powers of Black Adam?
To understand how strong Black Adam is, his powers would have to be determined first. The powers of Black Adam are given to him when his alter-ego, Teth-Adam, was chosen by Shazam as his successor with the presumption of his moral purity. When Teth-Adam says “Shazam,” he gets transformed into Black Adam and every letter of it corresponds to a power vested on him by six ancient Egyptian gods. S comes from Shu which grants Black Adam unlimited stamina to withstand attacks and survive dire conditions, thus, giving him immortality. H stands for Horus who vested him swiftness or supernatural speed which could be comparable to that of Golden Age Flash. A is for Amon who gave Black Adam strength beyond comparison and it is generally at par to that of Superman and he could even withstand a whole team on his own. Z comes from Zehuti for wisdom and this grants him vast knowledge and even allowing him to understand different languages. The second A is for Aten who vested him powers of flight and superhuman physical abilities which allows him to go to the Rock of Eternity, thus, he could do time and interdimensional travel. Lastly, M is for Mehen who gave him the courage, willpower, and mental fortitude to withstand any challenge he would face and at some point, this makes him immune to any mind control or telepathy.

Superman could outwit Black Adam, though it would be difficult, through manipulating his ruthlessness but this is where Black Adam could also have an advantage – his ruthlessness gives him and edge on Superman since the latter usually holds back. This is where Black Adam would have an advantage – his powers are based on magic, a weakness of Superman. In the comics, Superman always had a team behind him when fighting Black Adam. He could not do it all on his own. Looking at their comic book history, it’s safe to say that should Black Adam and Superman go on a one-on-one, despite having similar powers, Black Adam would win.
